Cassandra Jackson
Cassandra Jackson is a professor of English at the College of New Jersey, where she teaches classes about African American literature and visual culture. She is a coauthor of The Toni Morrison Book Club and has published two books on race in US literature and art. She has written about racial oppression in everyday life in HuffPost and the Washington Post, and her latest book, The Wreck: A Daughter’s Memoir of Becoming a Mother, is the nonfiction winner of the Willie Morris Award for Southern Writing. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
